This does an effect similar to throwing a bucket of water onto a certain Witch from Oz.

"Melt Width" is the width (in pixels - if you know what those are) of the piece of screen to melt.  "Melt Distance" is how far to melt it.

I like Melt Width = 10 and Melt Distance = 1.  Another good one is Melt Width = 3 and Melt Distance = 3.
